Product Health

LOUISIANA CAT’S PRODUCT HEALTH CENTERS

Louisiana Cat’s Hi-Tech, state of the art, Product Health Centers exist to enhance our customer’s Product Support experience by using technological resources, compiled equipment data and a vast knowledge of Cat® products resulting in a mutually beneficial partnership with our customers. We have two Product Health Centers, one in Reserve to serve our machine customers and one in New Iberia for our engine customers, both staffed with a top level team whose primary goal is to reduce your owning and operating costs while providing you with the maximum equipment uptime.

Analyzing data from a combination of elements – including machine or engine inspections and regular fluid analysis to tracking of electronic data and analysis of equipment history – helps to accurately assess the health and operating condition of your equipment fleet.

When you purchase a piece of equipment, it is a big investment of capital and energy. Make sure that your equipment is healthy and ready to work every day by using the technology solutions, maintenance options and fluid analysis to increase your uptime and reduce your operating costs. FIVE ELEMENTS OF CONDITION MONITORING

Cat® S•O•S℠ FLUID ANALYSIS

  • gives you detailed information about oil and coolant conditions, component wear, and more. Louisiana Cat’s S•O•S Fluid analysts know Cat equipment inside and out, making us your best, most knowledgeable source for fluid analysis.

INSPECTIONS

  • are easy and effective at helping you spot equipment health issues. We can train your people on what to look for or perform the inspections for you as part of an EMSolutions Agreement.

ELECTRONIC DATA

  • is critical in keeping equipment healthy. Electronic equipment data is captured using “smart machine” technologies, such as Cat Product Link™ telematics hardware. Product Link wirelessly transmits machine data to a user friendly web application, VisionLink®.

EQUIPMENT HISTORY

  • includes all the service reports and recommendations for maintenance, inspections, and repairs. This helps spot long-term performance trends and identifies opportunities to enhance service and maintenance practices.

SITE CONDITIONS

  • is an assessment that helps evaluate a number of factors that could affect your long term product health. Conditions include maintenance and operation practices, local site conditions, and overall climate/seasonal conditions.

CAT® PRODUCT LINK™

Cat® Product Link™ wirelessly connects you to your equipment giving you valuable insight into how your machine or fleet is performing. Information such as location, hours, fuel usage, productivity, idle time and diagnostic codes are made available through online web applications so that you can make timely, fact-based decisions to maximize efficiency, improve productivity and lower the cost of owning and operating your fleet.

Product Link has scalable features that enable increasing data collected as needed – from machine hours, fuel and location – to machine health parameters and production numbers.

Product Link technology offers multiple options – cellular, satellite and Bluetooth – to best match the type of asset to your communication needs.

By following a few easy steps, your machine can be connected in minutes. Product Link devices can be mounted to any equipment brand or type, and integrates with Cat mobile and online applications.

VISIONLINK®

VISIONLINK® is a web based fleet management tool that allows you to view fleet information online and use it to make informed decisions that boost productivity, lower costs, simplify maintenance, and improve safety on your jobsite. With different subscription level options, Louisiana Cat can help configure exactly what you need to optimize your fleet and drive additional profit.
